SAIMUN RW

About

Sub Saharan International Model United Nations (SAIMUN) Rwanda is an intense 3-day simulation of the United Nations targeted at high school students held from 21st – 23rd August 2020. With the theme “Empowering the Youth to Combat Contemporary Issues,” students will be able to develop leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking skills as well as problem-solving expertise. Active participation encourages consensus-building through mediation and negotiation, conflict resolution and the ability to rapidly build friendly and profitable relations among people of different cultures.

SAIMUN is originally hosted at United Nations Offices in Nairobi (UNON) where we have an annual five-day international relations simulation for both high school and university/college students. The international conference is attended annually by more than 1500 students from all over the world, where they debate the major issues of the international political agenda.
